On a Macintosh, you see a drive icon appear on your desktop. You can open
the drive and copy your photos to your computer. If iPhoto
when a digital camera is connected, iPhoto opens.
4. To copy photos, drag and drop them as needed. When you're done, remove
the card as described on page 68.
Caution:
If you are using a card from your digital camera and you add or delete files, the card
may not work correctly with your camera. Always delete pictures using your
camera.

Copying Photos to a USB Drive

You can copy photos from your camera's memory card to a USB storage device for
safe keeping. This lets you delete the photos on your memory card and reuse it
without losing your originals. Once your photos are stored this way, you can
retrieve them at any time for printing (see page 67).
To save photos, you need a storage device such as a USB thumb drive (flash
memory device), recordable CD-R/RW drive (with a USB connection), or a
100MB or 250MB Iomega
CD-ROM or Zip drive must receive power from an external power supply or
adapter.
Note:
If you insert a Macintosh disk into a Zip drive attached to the Stylus Photo RX700, it
automatically formats it, so be sure to use a disk that is empty or contains data you
don't mind losing. (You are prompted before any data is erased.)
1. If the Stylus Photo RX700 is connected to your computer, unplug the USB
cable that connects it to your computer, or turn off your computer.
2. Make sure the Stylus Photo RX700 is turned on and the memory card
containing your photos is inserted in it.
