Filling the heating system
!
Please note
Unsuitable fill water increases
the level of deposits and corro-
sion and may lead to boiler dam-
age.
Note the following comments
regarding fill water.
■ Flush the heating system thoroughly
before filling.
■ Only use fill water of potable quality.
1. Checking the pre-charge pressure of
the diaphragm expansion vessel (on
site).
2. Close the gas shut-off valve.
3. Open the shut-off valves A and B
on the heating water side.

■ Ensure the fill water is completely soft-
ened. Water hardness < 0.11 °dH
(0.02 mol/m
3
), e.g. using a small water
softening system for heating water
(see Viessmann Vitoset price list).
■ Antifreeze suitable for heating sys-
tems can be added to the fill water.
The antifreeze manufacturer must ver-
ify its suitability.

4. Fill the heating system using fill
valveC (system pressure 1.0 to
2.5 bar).
5. Close fill valve C.
