Fault Codes For DSI Boards

The Direct Spark Module (DSI Board) will display faults using an LED on the board. It may be necessary to gain
access to the DSI board to view the LED on the board. Refer to the chart below to determine the type of fault that is
being displayed.

No LED display
LED on continuously
1 fl ash every 4 seconds
2 fl ashes every 4 seconds
3 fl ashes every 4 seconds
4 fl ashes every 4 seconds
5 fl ashes every 4 seconds
6 fl ashes every 4 seconds
7 fl ashes every 4 seconds
8 fl ashes every 4 seconds

Direct Spark Module Connections

LED Fault Codes
No power to the DSI. Check wiring.
Control fault. Cycle power and retry. If fault remains, replace DSI.
Normal operation (idle and active states).
Control fault. Cycle power and retry. If fault remains, replace DSI.
Ignition lockout. Control has attempted to ignite but no fl ame detected after allowing
time and number of tries. Check gas fl ow, spark leads, position of electrode, and
gas solenoid.
Gas solenoid fault. Check wiring and gas solenoid.
Control fault. Cycle power and retry. If fault remains, replace DSI.
Gas solenoid fault. Check wiring and gas solenoid.
Power supplied to unit with knob(s) in ON position.
Turn all knobs to OFF position - resupply power to unit.
Gas solenoid fault. Check wiring and gas solenoid.
