INSTALLATION 8. CHECKING THE NETWORK CONNECTION

Checking the Start-up of the Equipment

(1)
Set the Remote/Local switch on the operation panel to ON.
(2)
Check that the equipment starts.

Network Setting

(1)
Start the M-Utility.
(2)
Touch [System Management], [Set Network], and then [Set Application].
→ The screen for setting the application appears.
(3)
Set the following items in the given order.
Set the printer name used by the DICOM.
[Set Normal AE-Title]
[Set Fine AE-Title]
Set the port number for using the DICOM protocol.
[Set Port No.]

Touch [Set Network], and then [Set Environment].
→ The screen for setting the network environments appears.
(5)
Set the following items in the given order.
Set the IP address for using the DICOM protocol.
[Set IP Address]
Set the subnet mask for using the DICOM protocol.
[Set SubNetmask]
Set the host name for using the DICOM protocol.
[Set Hostname]
Set the gateway address for using the DICOM protocol.
[Set Gateway]

End the M-Utility.
(7)
Set each DICOM client settings using a service PC.
<SUPPLEMENTARY NOTE>
All network settings can be performed using the service PC.

Checking Film Output and Images from Connected Devices

Ask the user to output images from the external device to which this equipment is
connected, and check that films are output normally.
Check the following items.
Check that there is no image unevenness.
Check the image density.
Check that there is no density inconsistency in the main scanning
direction.
Check the recording image format and output characters.
