8.1.4. Performing EPA Calibrations and Checks

The procedures for performing calibrations are indentcial to those decribed in
Sections 8.2 and 8.3.
If using the AutoCal feature to perform a calibration check, set the CALIBRATE
parameter to NO.
Analyzer enters
ZERO CAL Mode and
switches the Z/S valves
to supply Zero Air
See Table 5-1 for Z/S
Valve States during
this operating mode
If either the ZERO
or SPAN buttons
fail to appear see
Section 9 for
troubleshooting
tips.
Analyzer enters
SPAN CAL Mode and
switches the Z/S valves
to supply SPAN Gasr
See Table 5-1 for Z/S
Valve States during
this operating mode
To perform a manual calibration CHECK use the same procedures but DO NOT press
the ENTR Key after initiating one of the analyzer's calibration modes. The following
examples show the keystroke sequences for manually checking Zero and SPAN
calibration with a Zero/Span Valve option installed and operating.
