To disconnect the power and peripheral device
cables
Before you access the server interior, do the following:

Courtesy stop and power off the server.
For instructions, see "Starting up and shutting down the CallPilot
server" in the Installation and Configuration Task List (555-7101-
210).

Label and disconnect the power cable and any other peripheral
cables that may be in your way.
Refer to Figure 14 on page 122 to identify the connectors on the
server's back panel.
703t Server Maintenance and Diagnostics
CAUTION
Risk of equipment damage
Place the server on its side to prevent the server from
accidentally falling over. This position provides greater
stability. If you attempt to work with the server in its standing
position, it may tip over when you remove or insert
components.
If the server is equipped with chassis feet, do one of the
following:
Remove the feet so that the server lies flat on the working
surface. For more information, see "Remove chassis feet"
on page 123.
Place stable material beneath the server to raise the feet
away from the working surface. The bottom of the server
then lies flat on the working surface.
Pull the server forward so that the feet hang over the edge
of the working surface.
