Cause
Possible hardware issue. Recycle power to the printer. If the
Barcode content is
invalid, for example
alphanumeric characters
in a numerical barcode.
The barcode is too big for
the allocated area of the
label.
Clock battery power is
low.
Handshake mode is not
on.
Possible hardware issue. Recycle power to the printer. If the
Printhead may need to be
replaced.
Printhead may not be
completely closed.
The printhead
temperature is too high.
RFID Tag is unable to be
read or is missing
information.
RFID Tag is unable to be
read or is missing
information.
Remedy
error does not clear, call service.
Press cancel key to return printer
to Ready mode. Correct the
barcode content.
Press cancel key to return printer
to Ready mode. Reduce the size
of the barcode or move it.
Replace the clock battery.
Access the printer
mode and select
handshake
.
RTS/CTS
error does not clear, call service.
Recycle power to the printer
several times. If fault does not
clear, replace the printhead.
Close the printhead completely
and press the pause key.
If in Standard mode, check that
the heat setting is not set too high
for the material you are using.
Allow the printer to cool for several
minutes before resuming the print
job. If the error continues to
repeat, contact customer service
to determine other possible
causes.
Reboot the printer, if error
reoccurs select Enter and use
printer in Standard mode.
Reboot the printer, if error

printer will load primary ribbon
settings for Hassle Free mode.
