1. Before obtaining access to terminal
devices, all supply circuits must be
interrupted because units at standstill
may be in a pre-heating mode and start
automatically.
2. Be aware that temperature of switch
boxes can be extremely high.
3. Do not touch the switch box for
another 10 minutes after turning off the
circuit breaker.
Even after 10 minutes, always measure
the voltage at the terminals of main
circuit capacitor of electrical parts and
make sure that those voltages are 50 V
DC or less.
(Always touch the earth terminal first
before pulling out or plugging in
connectors in order to discharge static
electricity. This to prevent the PCB from
being damaged.)
4. After confirming the main circuit
capacitor voltage drop, pull out the
outdoor unit fan connector.
Make sure not to touch any live parts
during this action. (Strong adverse
winds which let the outdoor fan rotate,
induce a risk of electrical shock because
the fan rotation makes the capacitor
store electricity.)
Caution when performing other
servicing
Do never connect power supply cable to
compressors (U, V, W) directly. The
compressor may burn out.
