Setting Silent mode
If Silent mode is set to "Vibrate"/"Mute", incoming call ringtones and
notification sounds no longer ring.

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Settings" →
"Sounds and vibration" → "Sound mode"

Information
• If you change "Ringtone" (P.107) of "Volume" when Silent mode
(Vibrate, Mute) is set to "Vibrate"/"Mute", Silent mode (Vibrate, Mute)
is canceled.
• When Silent mode (Vibrate, Mute) is set to "Mute", tap "Temporary
mute" to set how long to keep your phone muted before returning to
"Sound"/"Vibrate" mode.
• Even in Silent mode (Vibrate, Mute), sounds (video sound, music,
shutter sound, etc.) except ringtone and each notification are not
muted.
Adjusting volumes

From the Home screen, "apps folder" → "Settings" →
"Sounds and vibration" → "Volume"
• A volume bar appears.

Ringtone Adjust ringtone for incoming call.
Media Adjust playback sound of Music Player etc.
Notifications Adjust notification sound for incoming notification

System Adjust sound for touch operation, ON/OFF sound for
screen lock/unlock, GPS enabling.

Description
Notifying incoming call/notification by sound/vibration
Set melody, etc. of ringtone/notification sound for incoming call or

Tap a notification sound you want to set
• When "Mute" is set, phone ringtone does not sound.
• Tap "ADD" to search ringtones and add.

Tap notification sound you want to set
• When "Mute" is set, notification sound does not sound.
Information
• If "Vibrate while ringing" is set to ON when Silent mode (Vibrate,
Mute) is not set, ringtone sounds and the terminal vibrates for
incoming calls. If "Vibrate while ringing" is set to OFF, only ringtone
sounds.
• Notification sound and vibration pattern of SMS, Calender and Email
can be set individually.
