User Defined Label

I nt ernally generat ed, t hese labels are print ed at pre- select ed m edia t ype, speed, and heat
set t ings. Changes t o t hese print set t ings can be m ade via t he Menu Syst em or t hrough host
com m ands. When print ing, use full widt h m edia t o capt ure t he ent ire form at ; ot herwise, adj ust
t he print er and set t he Label Widt h m enu set t ing.
( 1) Press t he CANCEL KEY t o st op print ing.
( 2) A print ing delay can be set ; see Print Test Rat e ( in Diagnost ics) .
4 .4 .1 Use r - D e fin e d La be l
The User- Defined Label allows a t em plat e t o be populat ed by variable dat a ( via t he print er's
cont rol panel or a USB QWERTY keyboard) . The t em plat e is a st ored label form at , where fields
delim it ed by an am persand ( &) becom e variable.
The print er will prom pt you t o ent er t he variable field dat a. For exam ple, t he st ored label form at
could cont ain t he dat a 19131423443&ENTER NAME&
Aft erward, when recalled from m em ory, t he print er's display will indicat e t he variable field: ENTER
NAME
( 1) Variable dat a can be any part of t he DPL form at - font I D, posit ioning, et c.
( 2) No error checking will be perform ed.
( 3) Support s .dlb, .dpl, .prn, and .txt file t ypes.
