Observe t he Ready I ndicat or as t he form at is sent t o t he
print er. I f it does not flash, check t he parallel cable t ype.
Also, check t he prot ocol and port set t ings bet ween t he
print er and host .

Ensure t hat t he cut t er is properly inst alled. Plug in and t urn
'On' t he print er. You should hear t he cut t er blade rot at e and
posit ion it self properly. However, if t he problem cont inues
call for service.
The display cont rast m ay set t oo low. Press and hold t he
MENU Key for 3 seconds t hen use t he up and down arrow
keys unt il t he display reappear s.
The print er m ay require Calibrat ion; see Sect ion 3.4.
The print er m ay be in Hex Dum p Mode; see Sect ion 6.2.
I f using t he serial port for com m unicat ing, check bot h t he
host and print er port set t ings; t he print er m ay be set t o
eight dat a bit s while t he host is set t o 7 ( or vice versa) .

uses Big Endian. Refer t o your font supplier for inform at ion.
The Media Widt h Adj ust m ent m ay be incorrect ly adj ust ed;
