3 .1 I n it ia l Pow e r - Up a n d Se lf- Te st
Once t he Bat t ery is charged and t he paper is loaded, an
init ial pow er up self- t est can be perform ed.

Press t he < ON/ OFF> swit ch once. This t urns print er
on. LED # 1 illum inat es in green or blue depending on
t he m ode of com m unicat ion.
o The print er will st ay ON unt il it is m anually t uned
OFF.
o I f t he print er is set for Bluet oot h™ ( BT) m ode t he
print er will st ay on all t he t im e. Pressing t he
< ON/ OFF> swit ch again will t urn t he print er off.

Press t he < ON/ OFF> swit ch t o t urn t he print er off. The
LED t urns off.

To st art t he self- t est , press and hold t he < FEED>
swit ch t hen press t he < ON/ OFF> sw it ches.

The print er will st art print ing t he self- t est m essage.
Release t he < FEED> swit ch.
o Press t he < ON/ OFF> or < FEED> swit ch t o st op or
cancel t he self- t est print .
o The first few lines of self- t est show t he print er
firm w are version, t he current print er set t ings ( for
exam ple Bluet oot h™ or Serial m ode) and a list of
any opt ional or special feat ures inst alled. Figure 9
shows a print ing sam ple.
