The OPTI Media funct ion is designed t o r educe set up t im e when using Dat am ax- O'Neil branded
m edia and ribbons. This feat ure enables t he print er t o aut om at ically adj ust print heat and print
speed set t ings t o opt im um levels t o produce t he best possible print qualit y. By using t he m odel
num ber prefix of t he m edia and ribbon ( print ed on t he shipping box) , t he print er can be quickly
configured t o produce opt im um print qualit y for t hat part icular m edia and ribbon com binat ion.
To m ake t he OPTI m edia select ion.
1. Press t he MENU BUTTON.
2. Make sure MEDI A SETTI NGS is highlight ed t hen pr ess t he ENTER KEY.
3. Make sure OPTim edia is highlight ed t hen press t he ENTER KEY.
4. Using t he DOWN BUTTON, Scroll t o t he m odel num ber prefix of t he label m edia being used
and t hen press t he ENTER KEY.
5. For dir e ct t h e r m a l m e dia ; an 'OK' will be displayed, t hen press t he EXI T KEY t o exit t he
m enu syst em .
For t h e r m a l t r a n sfe r m e dia ; t he print er will now prom pt for select ion of t he ribbon
being used. Scroll t o t he m odel prefix of t he ribbon being used and t hen press t he ENTER
KEY. An 'OK' will be displayed, t hen press t he EXI T KEY t o exit t he m enu syst em .
The print er is now ready t o print using t he m edia/ ribbon select ions m ade.
