Step 6: Install Cable Guards and Cable Cover

Optionally, you can install the four cable guards and the cable cover. The cable guards

protect the PIC and CIP cables from rubbing against the front edges of the chassis.

Install the Cable Guards on page 21

Install the Cable Cover on page 22

Place one of the upper cable guards over one of the front-mounting flanges of the

chassis, aligning the top of the cable guard with the top of the flange. Each of the

three captive screws on the guard should be aligned with a corresponding standoff

on the flange.

Partially tighten each of the three captive screws on the cable guard.

Tighten each of the three captive screws completely.

Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other upper cable guard.

Place one of the lower cable guards over one of the front-mounting flanges of the

chassis, aligning the cable guard with the standoffs of the flange. Each of the two

captive screws on the guard should be aligned with a corresponding hole in the flange.

Partially tighten each of the two captive screws on the cable guard.

Tighten each of the two captive screws completely.

Repeat Steps 5 through 7 for the other lower cable guard.
