Configuring
6.3 Configuring the 3RW5 Soft Starter
Procedure
...
1. Start the Modbus TCP client in your automation system and address the server
(3RW5 soft starter) using the IP parameter that is currently stored in the
3RW5 Modbus TCP communication module. For first commissioning and after restoration
of the factory settings, these IP parameters have the factory settings (Page 176).
When using a SIMATIC S7-1500, for example, integrate the FB "MB_CLIENT" into the
user program.
2. By means of the "Communication parameters" (Page 176) data table set the required IP
parameters in the 3RW5 soft starter.
Note the information in chapter IP parameters (Page 77).
Note
Writing down IP parameters
Write down the set IP parameters that you have just set. To change the configuration, the
IP parameters currently stored in the 3RW5 Modbus TCP communication module must
be known. You need a 3RW5 HMI High Feature to restore the factory settings.
3. Enter the modified IP parameters of the server in the Modbus TCP client.
Note the information in chapter IP parameters (Page 77).
4. Load the configuration into the Modbus TCP client (if necessary).
Result
The 3RW5 soft starter is configured in the Modbus TCP system and can communicate with
other Modbus TCP devices via the 3RW5 Modbus TCP communication module.
