Technology I/Os
Designation for inputs and outputs with hardware-level signal processing, for example for
rapid counting, measuring or time-controlled output of signals. Technology I/Os are provided
by the ET 200SP/MP technology modules, for example. CPUs with integrated inputs and
outputs are also available.
Technology object
A technology object supports you in the configuration and commissioning of a technological
function.
The properties of real objects are represented by technology objects in the controller. Real
objects include controlled systems and drives.
The technology object contains all data of the real object required for its open-loop or closed-
loop control, and it signals back status information.
