1. Check the commutator. Clean using 600-
grit sandpaper and compressed air if
dirty.
2. Measure the commutator diameter a.
Replace the
specification.

23.0 mm (0.91 in)
Wear limit: 22.0 mm (0.87 in)
3. Measure the commutator undercut b.
Motor commutator undercut b
(reference data): 1.4 mm (0.06 in)
Wear limit: 0.9 mm (0.04 in)
4. Check the armature
Replace if out of specifications.
