The paper tray's side fences
are set too tightly.
The paper is damp.
The paper is too thick or too
thin.
The copy paper is wrinkled or
has been folded/creased.

Solution
• When loading paper into the
paper tray, load paper only as
high as the upper limit markings on
the side fences of the paper.
• When loading paper on the
bypass tray, load only as much
paper as can be held between the
guides on the bypass tray.
Push the side fences lightly, and then
reset it. Also, we recommend you set at
least 20 sheets of thick paper.
