3. MAKING CALLS

3.1 Making Outside Calls

You can manually dial a number over any telephone line you select.
Or, if the installer assigned a prime line or the idle line preference
feature to your EP100, the system automatically selects a line for use
when you lift the handset or press the speaker button.
To dial an outside number manually,
1. Press INTERCOM.
2. Dial 9 or other line button to
select line (see Section 7.2, Line
Groups for more details).
3. Listen for dial tone.
4. Dial number.
5. Lift handset if privacy is desired.
If your station has an assigned prime line, you will not have to select a
line before dialing outside your system.
To dial an outside number using your prime line,
1. Press SPEAKER or lift handset if privacy is desired. Outside
line is automatically selected.
2. Listen for dial tone.
3. Dial number.
