Servicing the Engine Oil

Oil Type: High-quality detergent oil classified API
Service CD or higher for diesel engines. Do not use
special additives with recommended oils.
Crankcase Capacity: 3.7 L (3.9 US qt)
Viscosity: See the table below:

Important:
The fasteners for the front engine
panel are designed to remain on the machine after
cover removal. Loosen all of the fasteners a few
turns so that the panel is loose but still attached,
then go back and loosen them until the panel
comes free. This prevents you from accidentally
stripping the bolts free of the retainers.
Tilt the seat forward, loosen the bolts holding the front
engine panel and remove it
