Intel® Server System M20MYP1UR System Integration and Service Guide
1. Power off the system and disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Remove the system top cover (see Section 2.1.1)
3. Locate the battery on the server board.
4. Gently press the metal clip as shown to release the battery (see Letter A).
5. Remove the battery from the plastic socket (see Letter B).
6. Dispose of the battery according to local ordinance.
7. Remove the new lithium battery from its package and being careful to observe the correct polarity, insert
it into the battery socket.
Note: The <F2> BIOS Setup Utility must be accessed and the setting must be set and saved to restore
configuration settings.

Replacing a Backplane

Required Tools and Supplies:
Anti-static wrist strap and conductive workbench pad (recommended)

Removing the Backplane

1. Power off system and remove the AC power cord.
2. Disconnect all externally attached cables.
3. Power off the system and remove the system top cover (see Section 2.1.1).
