PCIe* Add-in Card Installation into riser card bracket
1. Remove the fastener screw (see Letter A) and remove the filler panel from the add-in card mounting
bracket (see Letter B). Save the filler panel for future use.
2. Insert the add-in card until it is fully seated inside the PCIe slot on the riser card (see Letter C).
3. Using the fastener screw, secure the add-in card to the riser card bracket (see Letter D).
3.2.3
Riser Card Bracket Assembly installation
1. Position the riser card's edge connector over the riser slot on the server board. Ensure the three
mounting tabs on the back edge of the riser card bracket assembly are aligned with the notches on the
back of the chassis.
2. Once aligned, press the riser card bracket assembly straight down into the riser slot on the server board.
3. Connect any cables to the add-in card if required. Refer to the relevant add-in card documentation for
additional information. See section 3.1 for details about cable routing.
