APCO P25 MODE OPERATION
n Announcement function
D Transmitting
The Announcement functon allows you to send an an-
nouncement sgnal to only a specfc group, and only n the
Trunkng mode.
The members of the target group can only receve, and not
transmt, announcements.
[Digital Button] key assgnment s necessary to use the An-
nouncement functon.
Not avalable on Non-dsplay types.
q Push [Digital Button] to enter the dgtal call type selec-
ton mode.
w Push [CH Up] or [CH Down], or rotate [CH Up/Down] to
select "ANNOUNCEMENT."
For Handheld types:

e Push and hold [PTT] to transmt the announcement sgnal
to the target group.
• The Busy/Transmt ndcator (for Handhelds) or Transmt ndca-
tor (for Mobles) lghts red.
r Push and hold [PTT] and speak nto the mcrophone.
t Release [PTT] to stop transmttng.

(for Mobles) lghts green.

• "ANNOUNCEMENT" and callng staton ID (or name) are ds-
played for 2 sec. (Dependng on the pre-settng.)
