n Emergency transmission
The P25 emergency mode can be accessed by pushng the
[Emergency] key. An Emergency alarm s automatcally
transmtted once, or repeatedly*

Moreover, whle n the emergency mode, Emergency calls
can be transmtted wth [PTT] to a Talkgroup.
If your transcever s programmed for Slent operaton, you
can transmt Emergency alarms and Emergency calls wthout
the beep soundng or the LCD dsplay lghtng.
[Emergency] key assgnment s necessary to transmt the
Emergency alarm.
NOTES:
• When the Auto TX functon s pre-set, the transcever
automatcally transmts the mcrophone audo for the
specfied tme perod* 2 after the emergency alarm trans-
msson, even f the emergency repeat cycle s set to '1.'

D Transmitting an Emergency alarm
q Push and hold [Emergency] for the specfied tme perod*
to enter the emergency mode.
• The countdown starts mmedately.
w After the specfied tme perod*
cever automatcally transmts an Emergency alarm once,
or repeatedly, to nform the dspatcher that the transcever
s n the emergency condton.
• To ext the emergency mode, push and hold [Emergency] be-
fore transmttng an Emergency alarm.
• When the emergency repeat cycle s set to '1,' the transcever
transmts an Emergency alarm, exts the emergency mode and
returns to normal operaton.
• After recevng an acknowledgement, "ACK RECEIVED" s ds-
played (Smple and 10-key types only), and dependng on the
pre-settng, the transcever exts the emergency mode.
• When an acknowledgement s not receved, "NO ACKNOWLDG"
s dsplayed. (Smple and 10-key types only) And dependng on
the pre-settng, the transcever automatcally transmts the mcro-
phone audo (Auto TX).
e To ext the emergency mode, turn the power OFF.
