APCO P25 MODE OPERATION
n Short Message
D Transmitting
The transcever can send one of up to 10 dfferent pre-pro-
grammed Short Messages.
[Digital Button] or [Digital Message] key assgnment s
necessary to transmt the Short Message.
Not avalable on Non-dsplay types.
✔ For Trunking mode operation:
The Short Message can be sent only to a dspatcher n the
Trunkng mode.
q Push [Digital Button] to enter the dgtal call type selec-
ton mode.
✔ Quick access
Push [Digital Message] to drectly enter the Short Mes-
sage selecton mode. In ths case, skp steps w and e.
Go to step r.
w Push [CH Up] or [CH Down], or rotate [CH Up/Down] to
select "SHORT MSG."
For Handheld types:

enter the Indvdual ID selecton mode.
• A pre-programmed ID name s dsplayed.
• When the ID name s not programmed, the ID code s ds-
played.
