BASIC OPERATION

■ Channel comments

Memory channels can be labelled wth a unque alphanu-
merc ID of up to 10 characters.
Captal letters, small letters, 0 to 9, some symbols (/ . –) and
space can be used.
q Select the desred channel.
• Cancel Dualwatch, Tr-watch or Scan n advance.
w Whle pushng and holdng [H/L], push [16•C] to edt the
channel comment.
• A cursor and the first charac-
ter start blnkng alternately.
e Select the desred charac-
ter by rotatng [CHANNEL].
• Push [16•C] or [DIAL•DUAL/
GRP] to move the cursor for-
ward or backward, respectvely.
r Repeat step e to nput all characters.
t Push [CHANNEL•ENTER] to nput and set the comment.
• Push [CLR] to cancel.
• The cursor and the character stop blnkng.
y Repeat steps q to t to program other channel com-
ments, f desred.

■ Microphone Lock function
The Mcrophone Lock functon electrcally locks [Y]/[Z] and
[HI/LO] keys on the suppled mcrophone. Ths prevents ac-
cdental channel changes and functon access.
➥ Whle pushng and holdng [HI/LO] on the mcrophone,
turn power ON to toggle the Lock functon ON and OFF.

■ Display backlight
The functon dsplay and keys can be backlt for better vsbl-
ty under low lght condtons.
➥ Whle pushng and holdng [H/L], rotate [CHANNEL] to
adjust the brghtness of the LCD and key backlght.
• The backlght s adjustable n 7 levels and OFF.
