D Registration to the OTAR system
➥ Push [Zone], then push [CH Up] or [CH Down], or rotate
[CH Up/Down], to select the channel n whch the OTAR
functon s enabled.
After selectng the channel, the transcever automatcally
attempts regstraton to the OTAR system by transmttng a
KMM 'Regstraton' command to KMF.
NOTE: There are 2 types of KMM— Standard and Packet.
If the pre-programmed KMM type s not matched to the
system to whch the transcever attempts to regster wth,
the regstraton attempt may fal. In that case, the trans-
cever's KMM type should be changed to another type. Ask
your dealer for detals.

ext the channel n whch the OTAR functon s enabled.
After extng the channel, the transcever automatcally
attempts deregstraton from the OTAR system by trans-
mttng a KMM 'Deregstraton' command to KMF.
APCO P25 MODE OPERATION
D Rekey request function
Normally, the encrypton keys are managed and securely
changed by KMF over the ar wthout recevng a Rekey
request.
But the transcever can control KMF remotely by sendng a
Rekey request to perform the rekey operaton.
q Push and hold [Rekey] for 1 sec. to send a KMM 'Hello'
command to KMF for a Rekey request.
• "REQUEST REKE" appears.
w After recevng a Rekey request from the transcever, KMF
performs the rekey operaton.
e When the rekey operaton s successful, "REQUEST
REKE" dsappears.
• If the rekey operaton fals, "FAILED" appears.
