• Move Lift Bar to forward position. (See Fig. 19)
• Slide Snow Thrower Lift Handle under rear of Lower
Mounting Frame and lift up to raise Front Mounting
Brackets into Clevises of Front Hanger Brackets.
• Secure Front Mounting Brackets to Front Hanger
Brackets using Locating Pins and Hair Cotter Pins.
(See Fig. 20)
INSTALLATION OF THE UPPER V­
BELT
(VERTICAL CRANK SHAFT
TRACTORS)
• Assemble Upper V-Belt around Tractor Engine
PUlley.
NOTE: Belt Guides and Flat Idler Pulley should be
on outside of Upper V-belt at all times. If not so,
you have assembled V-belt incorrectly.
• Upper V-belt Tension will need to be set after Snow
Thrower is installed to Tractor.
• Belt Gage must extend through a slot in the side of
Upper Mounting Frame. Check Belt Gage to see that
it has not been removed from slot during installation.
• Pull Chain
&
Toggle outward until Spring Clip is tight
against the inside of the Anchor Bracket.
• Insert Hair Cotter Pin through Chain
&
Toggle to
maintain correct tension against Upper V-belt.
NOTE: DO NOT use Chain
&
Toggle to adjust Upper V­
belt tension after initial setup. Use instructions
~
given in Snow Thrower Manual under heading "UPPER
V-BELT ADJUSTMENT."
