• The Rear Suspension Arms may remain with the Tractor.
• Store seven retainer springs and two front links with
the mower.
• Remove the mower over center stop from the right

• Remove parallel link from idler bracket and attach
it to the mower for storage.
• Remove mower drive V-belt from tractor and assemble
it to the mower for storage.
• Store two retainer springs in a plastic bag and tie
Drain and refill gas tank with fresh gas.
NOTE: In cold climate areas the gasoline sold at
stations is winterized for cold weather starting

problems. (Do Not use gasoline purchased during
the summer.)
Clean and gap spark plugs. (Replace if electrodes
are burned or damaged.)
Inspect, clean and or replace Air Cleaner.
Check Battery Fluid Level and add water to fill if
necessary. (See Tractor Manual)
Clean and tighten both

Positive and - Negative
terminals of the battery. (See Tractor Manual)
REMOVE THE MOWER (VERTICAL
CRANK SHAFT TRACTORS)
• Before installing your Snow Thrower, you must remove
PREPARING THE IDLER BRACKET
FOR USE WITH THE SNOW THROWER
(HORIZONTAL CRANK SHAFT
TRACTORS)
• Remove two nuts and two lock washers from the idler
bracket. (See FIG. 3)
• Cut a V-belt clearance notch into the idler bracket
using the template provided with this manual.
(See FIG. 4)
• Remove two mounting studs and two nuts which were
used to mount the idler bracket to the tractor frame.
• Place idler bracket against the front of the tractor
frame and secure it with two 3/8 x 1" carraige bolts,
two 1/2" lock washers and two 3/8" nylock nuts.
