This section provides the information and procedures to install the Avaya Virtual Services Platform
8000 Series.

Installation checklist

Use this checklist to install the Avaya Virtual Services Platform 8000 Series.

1. Mount the Avaya Virtual Services
Platform 8000 Series in the
equipment rack.
2. Install the primary or redundant
power supply.
Important:
Avaya does not support a
combination of AC-input and
DC-input power supplies in the
same chassis.
3. For the VSP 8400, install an Ethernet
Switch Module.
4. Check the LEDs to verify the
installation.
