Figure 2 shows the front view of the 87691VX Tape Autoloader.

Status LED

The 87691VX Tape Autoloader has a status LED in (see Figure 2), which is located
to the right of the operator panel buttons. This LED is lit during normal autoloader
activity and flashing when a fault condition occurs.

Operator controls

The 87691VX Tape Autoloader has a five-button operator panel and an LCD screen
in (see Figure 2 ) that you can use to monitor the autoloader operations, control
tape cartridge movement, and select configuration options. The operator panel is
also used to control the insertion and removal of tape cartridges through the access
door. See "Using the operator panel" on page 21 for more information about the
operator panel.
Use the two emergency access holes to open the access door and remove tape
cartridges in the event of a power failure. See "Removing tape cartridges
manually" on page 40 for information about this procedure.
