Setting configuration options

Configuration options can be set using either the operator panel or the Remote
Management Utility. For information about using the operator panel to set
configuration options, see Chapter 4, "Using the 87691VX Tape Autoloader," on
page 21.
You can use the Configuration page to perform the following tasks:
v Change the library configuration
v Change the Ethernet configuration
v Change the Web access password
To specify or change a configuration value, specify or change the value and click
Update.

Description
What
Indicates the type of element. Possible values are slot, tape drive, or
robot.
P (present)
Indicates whether the element is present.
v 1: Present
v 0: Not present
O (occupied)
Indicates whether the element contains a tape cartridge:
v 1: Contains a tape cartridge
v 0: Does not contain a cartridge
V (valid)
Indicates whether the information is considered valid or not valid:
v 1: The information is valid.
v 0: The information is not valid.
Note: The information is considered not valid for the time after the
autoloader has been turned on until it has completed an initial tape
cartridge inventory.
A (accessible)
Indicates whether the element is accessible:
v 1: The element is accessible.
v 0: The element is not accessible.
Notes:
1. The value for the cartridge cell element is always 1.
2. For the tape drive the value 1 means that the tape drive is either
empty or a cartridge has been ejected. The value 0 means that a tape
cartridge is loaded in the tape drive.
R (reserved)
Indicates whether the element is reserved by a host system:
v 1: The element is reserved.
v 0: The element is not reserved.
Label valid
Indicates whether the bar code label information is considered valid or
not valid:
v 1: The information is valid.
v 0: The information is not valid.
Note: The information is considered questionable if the autoloader had
a problem reading the label.
Label
If the element contains a tape cartridge, the field provides the bar code
label information for the tape cartridge.
