Replacing hot-plug power supply units

Ê Remove the cable from the defective power supply unit.
Ê Lightly press the green button (1).
The locking mechanism is released.
Ê Pull the locking lever as far as possible in the direction of the arrow (2).
Ê Use the locking level to fully remove the faulty power supply from its slot (3).

CAUTION!
Never leave the slot for the power supply empty for more than two
minutes while the system is running. Otherwise, system components
may be damaged due to increases in temperature.
Ê With the locking lever released, slide the new power supply unit as far as it
will go into the empty slot.
Ê Push the locking lever into the housing until it clicks into place.

Make sure that the new power supply unit is sitting correctly in its slot
and is locked into place.
This is the only way to avoid the power supply unit being shaken out
of its mountings and damaged during transportation.
Ê Connect the newly installed power supply unit.
If the server is operating as normal, LEDs 1 and 3 on the back of the power
supply will then light up green (see
