Chassis installation fundamentals
Space requirements
The installation site must provide sufficient free space around the chassis to ensure proper
ventilation and access for servicing.
Use the following guidelines to plan front and rear access:
• The maintenance aisle in front of the frame requires a clearance of 76.2 centimeters (cm)
(30 inches).
• The wiring aisle at the back of the frame requires a clearance of 61 cm (24 inches).
AC input electrical requirements
Refer to the power specifications for the power supply in
page 57.

Environmental requirements
The installation site must meet the following environmental requirements for 8300 chassis
