9. Disable Features
You can disable the following keys:
•
[Reduce/Enlarge] key
When you disable this key, the [Auto Reduce/Enlarge] key will be also deleted.
•
[Duplex] key
•
[Margin Adjust.] key
•
[Erase Center/Border] key
•
[Cover/Paper Designate] key
10. Disable Problem Unit
Temporarily isolate a defective unit from the copier to prevent disability of the
whole system.
Use this function until your service representative comes to repair the copier.
default: All units can be used.
For how to find the defective unit,
You can access user tools and use this function even during a system error.
If you remove the Finisher, Duplex, Tray 2, and LCT functions, these keys disap-
pear from the operation display.
When you select the [Tray 1] key, this key disappears from the operation display
and you cannot use Cover mode. You also cannot use Slip Sheet mode depend-
ing on the slip sheet tray setting (
When you select the [Tray 3] key, this key disappears from the operation display
and you cannot use Tab Sheet mode.
When you select the [RDH/ADF] key, you cannot set originals in the recirculating
document handler or document feeder. Also, you cannot use Cover/Paper Desig-
nate, Auto Paper Select, and Auto Reduce/Enlarge.
