8. Remove drive wheels and tracks from unit. See
Remove Track Drive Wheel on page 60.
9. Slowly rotate track carriage assembly as far down as
possible. See Figure 94.

10. Remove spring clip from pinion shaft and move pinion
gear left through pinion gear and transaxle mounting
bracket.
IMPORTANT: Be aware of flat steel washer and spacer
that will fall when pinion shaft is removed.
11. Advance to step 14.

13. Remove two spring clips from pinion shaft and remove
pinion shaft from pinion gear and transaxle mounting
bracket.
IMPORTANT: Be aware of two flat steel washers and one
spacer that will fall when pinion shaft is removed.
14. Remove bushings from pinion gear and / or transaxle
mounting bracket, as necessary. See Figure 97,
Figure 98 and Figure 99.
