8.4.2 Removing the rear shroud

Removing the rear shroud:
1. Loosen and remove two thumb screws (1).
2. Remove rear shroud (2).
Replacing the rear shroud:
1. Replace parts in reverse order.
2. Tighten two thumb screws by hand.

8.4.3 Removing/Installing the batteries

WARNING!
Fire and burn hazard due to short circuit at
battery poles
– DO NOT short-circuit the battery poles with a
tool or metal parts of the wheelchair.
– Make sure that the battery pole caps are
attached at all times when you are not working
on the battery poles.

Risk of crushing
The batteries are very heavy. There is a risk of
hand injury.
– Be aware that the batteries are very heavy.
– Handle the batteries with care.
Phillips screwdriver, size 2
Wire cutters
Cable ties
Removing the batteries:
1. Remove the legrest hangers.
2. Remove the front shroud as described in chapter 8.4.1
Removing the front shroud, page 97.
3.
Disconnect the battery connector (1) from the front
battery (2).
4. Remove the rear shroud as described in chapter 8.4.2
Removing the rear shroud, page 98.
