Wrap Test

The Wrap Test checks the circuits used to communicate with the host
computer.
To run the Wrap Test:
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Disconnect the parallel cable.
3. Install the parallel wrap plug (part no. 1319128).
4. Turn the printer on.
5. Enter Diagnostics mode
6. Select [WRAP TEST].
• [PARALLEL FAILED] is displayed if the Parallel failed.
• [PARALLEL PASSED] is displayed if the Parallel passed.
• A pass message indicates the connection to the printer cable
connector is good. Failure indicates a defective system board.
7. Press RETURN to return to the Diagnostics mode main menu.
8. Turn the printer off, then remove the wrap plug from the interface
connector.

Button Test

To test the operator panel buttons:
1. Enter Diagnostics mode
2. Select [BUTTON TEST].
3. Press each button. [CLOSED] is displayed until the button is
released. Then [OPEN] is displayed.
4. Press RETURN to return to the Diagnostics mode main menu.
Note: The RETURN button is always functional during this test
and will not display an open or closed.
