Diagnostics
Start
Use the error code message table, symptom tables, and diagnostic aids
in this chapter to determine the corrective action necessary to repair a
malfunctioning printer.
If an error code, alert, or service message appears on the host display,
and the printer status light is not flashing continuously, locate the error
condition in the table below.
If an alert message appears on the host display and the printer status
light is flashing rapidly and continuously, go to the "Printer Status Light
Table" on page 7-6.
If your machine does not have an error code/message and does not
complete POST, go to "Power-On Self Test (POST)" on page 7-6. If your
machine makes it through POST without an error, go to "Symptom
Table" on page 7-8, locate the symptom and take the appropriate
action.
If an error code/message appears while you are working on the
machine, go to the Error Message Table and take the action for that
error.
Note: For all 9XX errors the 4047-05W front cover LED blinks fast four
