10 Record the time it takes for that function to
complete a full cycle (ie; boom up).
11 Compare the machine function time with the
function times listed in Refer to Specifications,
Performance Specifications. Determine
whether the function time needs to increase or
decrease.

How to Adjust the Joystick Ramp
Rate Setting
The ramp rate setting is an adjustment that controls
the way boom functions start and stop. There are
two types of ramp rates to adjust on separate
menus:
Ramp Up Time -- the amount of time it takes to
accelerate to speed.
Ramp Down Time -- the amount of time it takes to
decelerate to a stop
The ramp rate settings of a joystick can be
changed to compensate for hydraulic pump wear to
maintain peak performance from the machine.
Note: Perform this procedure with the boom in the
stowed position.
1
Enter the Service Mode. See Repair
Procedure, How to Enter the Service Mode.
2
Press the SETTINGS button above the display
screen.
3
Select SPEEDS from the display screen.
4
Navigate to the desired function's Ramp
setting.
5

OK.
6

display buttons to change the parameter. Note
that the ramp rate is expressed in seconds to
complete the ramp.

immediately.
