3. SYSTEM START UP

a. Start-up
Your device is fully operational and available to use when you hear the beep.
At default the system is set to continuous record on all channels, please observe the notifi-
cation icons on each channel.
The default Operating System language will be English.
The device will boot up initially in multi-screen mode and will save the last configured
screen configuration after re-boots. You can also setup screen layout favourites in the Dis-
play menu.
The 1st screen that will appear with be the password change request, we recommend that
you follow this process and securely record any changes.
b. Password Change
When the system boots up for the 1st time you will be requested to change the default
administrator password for local and online access, the system will display the following
screen:
IMPORTANT!
It is highly recommended that you change all the default system passwords to
ensure the security of the system. Please follow the instructions in the "Account
Management" section of this manual in how to change passwords. Record any
changes and keep that information stored securely.
If an incorrect password is entered 3 times incorrectly within a 30 minute period
the system will lock the user account. If you are locked out of the system wait
30 minutes or reboot the device before attempting to login again.
