4. CHANNEL TYPE

Your system depending on the model may be able to accept different types of camera
technology.
Go to Main Menu > Camera > Encode / Overlay and then select Input Type
a. Changing from Coax to UTP Transmission
At default your system will be defaulted to bringing camera signals via coax cable, if you
are using UTP cable with Baluns you should select UTP for the channel.
b. Changing the system to accept IP Cameras
Depending on your model you may also have the ability to add IP Cameras to your system.
Please refer to the specification sheet for the number of IP Cameras you can add to the
system.
To add an IP Camera simply click IP on the last channel and click apply. The system will
request a re-boot to apply the changes.
c. Adding IP Cameras
When the system is re-booted there will be a new option in Main Menu > Camera called
Remote Device which will display the following screen

Click IP Search to find available
devices on the network
2. Highlight the required device that
you wish to add
3.
Click Add
4. When the device is added it will
appear in the Added Device list
below
5. When a device is successfully
connected it will display a green light
in the status column
