13. BACKUP

Main Menu > Backup
You can use the following backup mediums for backing up video clips
• USB Memory devices or USB External HDDs (Not Included)
• DVD or CD Media (Model dependent)
• eSata Devices (Model Dependent)
• Over the network
Some USB memory devices will need to be formatted to FAT32 before you begin.
Before you enter the backup menu insert your backup medium into the recorder.
a. Backing up a Video
Main Menu > Backup
1. If you have only one backup device inserted it will display next to the Device Name,
if you have multiple devices inserted please use the drop down menu to select the
desired backup method
2. When you have the backup device selected, it will display the required amount of s
torage required for the backup as well as the free/total space in the backup medium
3. Select the File Format you wish to backup in, if you are using a Windows PC select
DAV and if you are using a Mac select ASF
4. Select 1 or all channels from Record CH drop down list, 1,2,3,4 etc are main stream
records, A1,A2,A3,A4 are second stream records
5. Enter the Start Date / Time and End Date / Time of the records you want to backup
6. Click Add and a list of files that match you selection will appear in the list
7. Ensure the Space Needed is not exceeding the Free or Total space
8. Press Backup to begin
