SINAMICS S120 Liquid-Cooled units in chassis format: Recommendation for an open cooling circuit
The connecting pipes between the individual components of the cooling circuit should be made of stainless steel or
ABS plastics. The seals must be chloride, graphite and carbon-free. For mechanical decoupling, the SINAMICS units
and the motors connected to the cooling circuit must be connected to the piping of the cooling system by short,
flexible EPDM hoses. The cooling circuit of motors and other units must, if connected to the same cooling circuit as
the SINAMICS units, also be made of stainless steel or another incorrodible material. The bypass valve is required in
case a temperature control is needed for protection against condensation.
