13.2.2 MONTHLY Maintenance

Perform the following steps monthly:
13.2.3 ANNUAL Maintenance
Annual preventive maintenance should be performed only by authorized service personnel
familiar with maintenance and servicing of the UPS system. Contact your Powerware
service representative for more information about service offerings.
13.2.4 BATTERY Maintenance
Contact your Powerware service representative for battery maintenance. Battery
replacement and maintenance should be performed only by authorized service personnel.
13.3 Maintenance Training
A basic training course, available from Powerware, gives you a competent working
knowledge of the UPS system operation and teaches you how to perform first level
corrective maintenance. For more information about training and other services, contact
the Powerware Training Coordinator in Raleigh, North Carolina, or call your Powerware
service representative (see page 1-4).

3. Ensure the operating environment is within the parameters specified in
Chapter 14, "Product Specifications"and Drawing 164201535-2 on page A-3.
4. Ensure the UPS is in Normal mode (Normal status indicator is illuminated). If an
alarm lamp is illuminated or the Normal status indicator is not illuminated, contact
your Powerware service representative.
1. Monitor system parameters as described in Chapter 8, "Using the Control Panel."
2. Check the air filter (located behind the front door) and replace as necessary. The
filter size is 16" 30"

a. Open front door latch and swing door open.
b. Slide filter up and remove from cabinet.
c. Slide new filter into brackets until seated on bottom brackets.
d. Close door and secure with latch.
3. Record the check results and any corrective actions in a suitable log.
