11.2 Communications with PC

Note:
When ECR communications with PC, The ECR PORT1's Baud Rate and PC COM's
Baud Rate which used for connecting the ECR must preset the same value. 57600 is
our suggestion.
ECR
1.
Uses the standard serial cables connect to the ECR's PORT and then connect the
other end of the cable to your PC's COM1 or COM2 port.
2.
Power on, and turn the control lock to Prog mode.
3.
Through (130/133) [qty/time] order to select the ECR's PORT you are using and
preset its proper baud rate.
PC
1.
Run the PC software that provided with ECR.
2.
Configure the PC's COM port and preset the baud rate the same as ECR.
3.
You are ready to program the ECR using the software and your PC.

11.3 External Connecting Scanner

Note:
The scanner does not need external power supply.
Serial Scanner
1). Connects the cable of scanner to the ECR's PORT.
2). Through (133)  [qty/time] to set ECR's PORT you are using and preset its
proper baud rate.
PS2 Scanner
Just insert the PS2 Scanner to the PS2 port on the ECR.

11.4 External Terminal Printer

11.4.1 Types of Printer
There are three types of printer for two purposes:
Receipt printer (RP) for printing a customer receipt.
Kitchen printer (KP) for printing customer's orders for the kitchen.
Note:
The printout of KP and RP are different:
Receipt Printer:
The printout contents are same as the ECR's inside printer, only
difference is the receipt printer does not print the graphic Logo and
when press the ECR's FEED key it does not advance the paper of the
receipt printer.
