Preparation for Operation
– When this LED is lit, it indicates that
the associated hard disk drive has
failed (HDD FAULT).
– If the LED flashes slowly (one flash per
second), the drive is being rebuilt.
– If the LED flashes rapidly (three
flashes per second), the controller is
identifying the drive.
When this LED is lit, it indicates that the
hard disk drive is in use (HDD BUSY).
Push this button to release a CD/DVD
from the drive.
When this LED is lit, it indicates that the
CD/DVD drive is in use.
Use this port to connect one or more USB
devices to the front of the server, using
Plug and Play technology.
Press this button to manually turn the
server on or off.
When this LED is lit, it indicates that an
error or warning message has been writ-
ten to the system event log.
Slide this latch to the left to access the
LED card (see page 92).
When this LED is lit, it indicates that a sys-
tem error has occurred. An LED on the
LED card is also lit to help isolate the error
(see page 92).
When this LED is lit, it has been lit
remotely by the system administrator or by
ServerView to aid in visually locating the
server.
When this LED is flashing, it indicates that
any SAS hard disk drive is in use.
