MONITOR

Press to deactivate signaling (QT/DQT or Common ID). Press this button again to
return to normal operation.
Monitor: Press this button to allows you to turn the transceiver signaling off, to
listen to all calls that are received on the channel.
Monitor Momentary: Press and hold this button to momentarily turn the
transceiver signaling off. Releasing this key turns the transceiver signaling back on.
While signaling is off, you can listen to all calls that are received on the channel.
MON
MON M Monitor operation type is Monitor Momentary.

SQUELCH OFF (ANALOGUE)

When no signals are present, the squelch on the transceiver automatically mutes
the speaker so you will not hear background noise. Using the SQUELCH OFF
button, you can open the squelch to unmute the speaker. This allows you to:
• Confirm the channel activity so you don't make a call while another party is using
the same channel
Squelch OFF: Press to hear background noise. Press this key again to return to
normal operation.
Squelch OFF Momentary: Continuously hold down this key to hear background
noise. Release this key to return to normal operation.
SQL
SQL M Squelch operation type is Squelch OFF Momentary.
Monitor operation type is Monitor.
Squelch operation type is Squelch OFF.
