Set Up VPN Connections
Attention: The router is designed to provide virtual private networking (VPN) using
the NETGEAR Insight mobile app and Cloud Portal. For information about how you can
use NETGEAR Insight to set up VPN connections, see the NETGEAR knowledge base

If you do not use NETGEAR Insight, you can use OpenVPN software to set up VPN
connections and remotely access an office or site at which a NETGEAR BR500 router is
installed. This chapter describes how to set up OpenVPN on the router and on a
computer or mobile device and how to initiate a VPN connection using OpenVPN.
