Setting
Description
(IPv4) IP Address Sets the unique network-level address
that is assigned to each device in a
TCP/IP network (IPv4).
Subnet Mask
Sets a number that defines the range of
IP addresses that can be used in a
TCP/IP network.
Default Router
Sets the IP address of a router that is
used when a device sends a packet to
another subnet or to an unknown
destination.
DHCP Response
Sets if the printer receives DHCP
responses by broadcast or unicast.
(IPv6) IP
Sets how the printer obtains an IP
Assignment
address (for IPv6 networks).
Method
(IPv6) IP Address Sets the unique network-level address
that is assigned to each device in a
TCP/IP network (IPv6).
This section describes the 802.11 security settings. To view these
settings:
From the printer Main Menu, select Settings > Communications
> Wireless 802.11 > Security.
From the printer home page, click the Configure tab >
Communications > Wireless 802.11.

Security Type
Selects the protocol the radio uses to
verify its identity and makes sure that
it is authorized to communicate on
the wireless network.
Association
Selects the security method that the
radio uses to get access to the wireless
network.
